@librarysquirrel tenacity says "AI fuck off" https://codeberg.org/tenacityteam/tenacity/src/branch/main/CONTRIBUTING.md
@AnarchoNinaWrites or the way one can also see it. The rich will find ways to exploit the poor in whatever way configuration the capitalism takes. With high rates, and low rated, and medium rates we're always gonna get fucked. And yes all those capitalists struggle against each other for dominance too, but at the end of the day, we're always gonna get juiced.
i would like to be happier about this, but I find myself recommending people grab the version with the workflow they know from oldversion.com or get Tenacity
https://github.com/audacity/audacity/releases/tag/Audacity-4.0.0
the loved one lives in Musescore as a composer and has Audacity 4 and is finding the "AI" push more than a little annoying.
most of the "AI" is ML sound processing, which is actually very cool. But too much of the stuff on Musehub is a bit uhh generative
I was concerned that #bhyvecon would be good, but not insane, but as of a few hours ago, it will be mildly insane. Please sponsor when you register to cover venue costs and gifts via https://bsdfund.org are always appreciated.
See you in Brussels and online.
I know lots of you have asked what Aisle does differently than Mythos etc to find security problems in #curl, the kernel etc, and here's an article that tries to address that.

@bagder They just don‘t stop reporting, is what. 😌
I mean, find me a single American tech organisation that *isn’t* full of right wing libertarians.
That’s the secret lurking in open source - it’s actually a weird combo of gun-toting anti-government survivalists and radical progressives* who have managed for years to share some similar goals because politics wasn’t mentioned. But then software ate the world; software *is* politics, and vice versa.
* (I’m in the second camp, I’m sure the first camp would use different words for me.)
@Floppy Copyright & copyleft all getting a bit ouroboros as America contemplates reality as non-binary.
A few weeks ago, I went into a design furniture store in Denmark to buy a garden furniture set. We had a great conversation about their beautiful products right until the point where I realized they conditioned their price on the registration of my data, or I would have to pay 40 percent more.
So I did what I always do.
Narrow Fjord
This lovely place is easy to overlook as you plan your journey along the east coast of Iceland. There are very few buildings, the road is pot-holed dirt, and the gradients max out at 18%.
Visit on a day when the weather is being kind, with cloud shadows chasing across the mountain faces and the sun at its 30° meridian, and you're rewarded with this astonishing landscape. It's easy to imagine elves and trolls living here.
Mjóifjörður in September.

This seems surprising, and likely to lead to a lot of chaos!
I didn't understand the part about third level and second level though. If ".name" doesn't exist any more, how can "fraser.name" be recreated?
Brey, the like 10 total times it's ever happened out here when I was just factually wrong about something and someone said "you're wrong and here's why" there weren't any problems. The point is this is so rare, that I don't really have a lot of interest in keeping that option open - what happens MOST of the time is you show up in my replies being AGGRESSIVELY WRONG and then get your back up when I say "no, and I don't care that you're wrong."
That's 99% of it. Nobody is MAKING you hit reply.
She is in fact "not nice." She is in fact, hostile. She is in fact "not polite."
This ain't changing and you don't have to be here.

@mplouffe Our central services are all chronically understaffed. All support takes ages.
@wim_v12e
Ours are getting to be like that, especially at the department level.
I've reported this guy multiple times, and he's still posting nonconsensual porn on Mastodon.social.
And there's no way he can know that these girls are all 18+, because all the art is *stolen* and posted *without their permission*.
Mastodon.social has a *huge* #NCII (nonconsensual intimate images) problem.
The German Nazis were more competent, we can't even do it right.
bluesky added a little 1/x marker at the end of posts to show number of posts in a thread and frankly fedi needs to copy that right the fuck now
